North Wales with Imagine5.
I spent some time in the Carneddau region of North Wales. With the words of Sarah Walkley swirling around in my head who explores how langue helps to forge a connection to nature.

The words we use to describe landforms, waypoints, and the natural world through local dialect fade away over time. Or without access to the outdoors, these words are never passed on. Robert Macfarlane describes this as our 'literacy of landscape.’

So in the swampy mist and rain, I set about to photograph a portrait of a place, seeking cairns, screes, mossy uplands, pastoral land, and hidden peaks.
