Denton Moor.
On going documentation of Peatland restoration on Denton Moor. The uplands stradde the parishes of Denton, Blubberhouses, and Great Timble within Nidderdale AONB. In total the SSI site covers an area of approximately 455Ha.
The project began in the Summer of 2023 establishing an archive that documents communities' interaction with the site. It focuses on capturing the environmental significance of restoration and the importance of actively engaging these communities in the monitoring of upland peatlands. In collaboration with community groups, organisations and individuals, conservation and ecology experts and local artists.
